Position Title: Clinical Educator: Audiology
CLINICAL EDUCATOR: AUDIOLOGY
(Permanent: 25 hours per week)

We invite applications for a permanent, 25 hours per week Clinical Educator position in the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the strengthening and development of the Audiology programme through clinical education, academic scholarship, and relevant service within the division and the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Requirements:
- 4-year professional degree in Audiology
- 3 years of experience in clinical practice
- 1 year of experience in facilitating university students’ clinical education
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Demonstrable experience in vestibular assessment and therapy, and electrophysiology
- Excellent interpersonal abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advantages:
- Experience in paediatric vestibular assessment and therapy
- Undergraduate academic teaching in vestibular management
- Strong rehabilitation focus, preferably on vestibular rehabilitation therapy
Responsibilities:
- Clinical supervision of undergraduate students
- Development of clinical sites for optimal student learning and inter-disciplinary collaboration
- Scholarship to encourage evidence-based practice
- Development of appropriate clinical teaching material
- Administrative and management duties at divisional and departmental levels
- Clinical service responsibilities to maintain and develop practice learning sites

The annual cost of employment (25 hours per week), including benefits, is R 540 821
