THE HASSO PLATTNER d-SCHOOL AFRIKA  

 

The Hasso Plattner d-school Afrika at UCT is looking for a Business and Partnership Development Coordinator to support our growing programme portfolio by identifying opportunities, developing partnerships, and coordinating key business development activities. This role will contribute to the expansion of our open-enrolment, customised learning and academic programmes across the public, private, NGO and higher education sectors in South Africa and beyond while supporting the day-to-day management of client engagements, proposal development and programme delivery. Working closely with the Business and Partnership Development Manager and the d-school leadership team, the successful candidate will help build engagement, strengthen collaboration, and support the school’s long-term sustainability.

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • A National Diploma or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6 in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • At least three years’ recent and relevant experience in business development, client engagement, or project coordination, preferably within a higher education, corporate, or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships, contribute to revenue generation, and coordinate proposals or partnership development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of contributing to successful bids, reports, or business development initiatives.
  • Experience in executive education, consulting or innovation environments.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Identify and coordinate new opportunities to expand the d-school’s reach and contribute its impact.
  • Support the development and delivery of project-based partnerships.
  • Drive core business development activities, including responding to RFQs and tenders, proposal writing, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
  • Help grow executive education and student programmes in line with the d-school’s strategic priorities.
  • Conduct market and sector research to inform engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support programme design, implementation, and evaluation.

The annual cost of employment, including benefits, is between R 531 313,00 and R 625 071,00
